How-to

Practical guides

These cover the tasks you’ll use most often after you are already signed in.

How do I view my totals in my preferred currency?

Open the Home or Reporting page. The app uses your default reporting currency, falls back to EUR, and converts mixed currencies automatically for reporting-only views.

How is Home different from Reporting?

Home gives you a quick personal snapshot with current totals, liabilities due this month, unpaid shortcuts, and recent activity. Reporting is the deeper view with filters, tables, assets, contributors, exports, and currency conversion.

What is the difference between real balance, liabilities due this month, and net balance?

Real balance is income minus the expense rows that should count directly against your available position. Liabilities due this month are the recurring expenses, debt, mortgage, loan, or similar obligations due in the current month. Net balance is real balance minus those current-month obligations, so the same recurring obligation is not counted twice.

How do I add a one-off income or expense?

Use the Income or Expenses page, fill in the title, amount, date, and optional description, then save. Those entries appear immediately in Reporting and on the Home snapshot.

How do I use accounting groups?

Open Groups to create or join a group, then pick that group when creating entries. Grouped items are kept separate from your personal ungrouped totals in Reporting.

How do group invites and membership work?

Use the Groups page to accept an invite or join an existing group. Active members can see shared group entries. Partial members are view-only for grouped records, while full members can edit or delete grouped entries and templates for the whole group.

How do I change my reporting currency?

Go to Profile and open Default currency. Choose EUR, USD, or ALL, then save. That preference drives Home and Reporting displays.

How do I change my default accounting group?

Go to Profile and set the default accounting group you want preselected when creating new entries. You can still change it on each entry before saving.

How do recurring income and expense updates work?

Edit the template to change future runs only. Past generated entries stay fixed, and the scheduler creates the next occurrence when it becomes due. Group templates follow the same rule, but only full group members can edit or delete them.

Where can I mark recurring expenses as paid or unpaid?

Use the Home dashboard recurring section for your personal items, the accounting-group detail page for shared recurring items, or open the generated expense row directly from Reporting or the recurring lists. If a row already exists for the current month, you can mark it paid or unpaid from the expense detail page and, where available, directly from the recurring list.

How do I create or edit a periodic template?

Go to Income periodic or Expenses periodic, set the start date, frequency, and stop date, then save. Editing a template changes only the next runs, not the already generated entries.

How do I stop or remove a periodic template?

Open the periodic template and clear the end date if you want it to keep running, or delete the template if you want to stop new future entries entirely. Deleting a template does not delete the already generated static entries.

How do I work with assets and liabilities?

Open Assets to record loans, mortgages, receivables, and other tracked balances. Asset-type rows contribute to asset value, while recurring debt or mortgage obligations due this month appear as liabilities due this month and can also contribute to unpaid this month when still outstanding.

How do I export my reporting?

Open Reporting and use the export actions to download Excel or PDF. The exported values use the reporting currency you selected in your profile.

How do notifications work?

If push notifications are enabled, the app can use them for updates and reminders. Check the notifications page and your browser or device permissions if you are not receiving alerts.

How do email confirmation and password reset work?

Use the confirmation email to activate your account, then use Forgot password if you need to reset it later. The app sends you back through the reset flow before you can sign in again.

How does the audit page help me?

The Audit page lists important activity so you can review changes and trace what happened in the account, especially for shared or sensitive data.

How do language preferences work?

Set your preferred language in Profile. The UI will use that choice for the supported app copy, while keeping your data and currency settings separate.

How do I set up or manage MFA?

Use the Security section in Profile. Set up the authenticator with the QR code, then enter two successive codes to enable it or use your code/password to disable it.

Can I use the Android app offline, and how does sync work?

Yes. Android securely queues financial changes while you are offline, then automatically retries when you reconnect. Use the sync button or More > Sync queue to review pending changes. Help & FAQs is also available offline from More.
